Alliance Between National Latino Law Enforcement Groups Expected

Dallas, Texas - The National Coalition of Latino Officers (NCLO) was represented by the its National President Antonio Hernandez and National Vice President Roberto Reyes at the National Latino Law Enforcement Organizations Training Symposium on November 1, 2017. At the request of the NCLO, an important meeting was held between the leaders representing the four largest Latino Law Enforcement groups representing Latino officers from coast to coast, the NLLEO, the National Latino Peace Officers Association (NLPOA) and Hispanic Association of Police Command Officers Association (HAPCOA). A proposal was presented by the NCLO bringing forth an alliance between the groups, under the Hispanic Association of Police Command Officers Association.

"There are many issues plaguing the Latino community and Latino law enforcement and we can't remain silent", said the NCLO President. "We hope to come to a consensus together and bring fourth policy statements and goals for all of our organizations to aim towards."

As the framework for this effort continues, stay tuned for more information to follow in the coming months.
